OCNE Consultation Services

The Oregon Consortium for Nursing Education was developed between 2001-2006 with the first class of students admitted in fall, 2006.  We have learned a great deal about forming partnerships and true collaboration, about designing state-of-the- science (and art) curriculum, about best practices in teaching-learning, about creating meaningful clinical learning experiences.  And we are eager to share what we have learned and to work with our colleagues throughout the country in addressing issues of educational capacity, curriculum reform and clinical education redesign. To date, we have worked with individuals or groups in over 20 states.

OCNE leaders are available to provide a variety of services to help your group move forward in transformation of nursing education.  The services range from an informative presentation about the OCNE model to events (e.g. workshops, speeches) crafted to meet your group’s specific needs. Our speakers and consultants include community college and University nursing faculty leaders and our clinical and Board of Nursing partners.

We prefer to limit travel, to reduce both our footprint on the planet and the strain on our aging bodies, so we encourage your consideration of ways in which we can work with you at a distance.  We also recognize that it is often helpful to have face-to-face time, and with sufficient notice can plan a 1-3 day onsite event.  We will work with you to figure out what best meets your needs and schedule, and what’s possible from our end.

Our fees are listed below to provide guidance in planning budgets and are somewhat negotiable.  These fees are used sustain the work of OCNE, primarily in support of our small core staff and our faculty development activities.
